Is Talkala cheaper than calling through my mobile carrier?
Sometimes, but not for every call. Your plan may already include the destination, or an add-on may suit frequent calls. Compare Talkala’s rate for the full number with the extra cost you would actually pay through your carrier, including any applicable add-on and connectivity charges.
T-Mobile international callingWhat is the difference between international calling and roaming?
International calling concerns calling a number in another country. Roaming concerns using your mobile service while outside its home network or country. You can make an international call without travelling. When you do travel, your roaming terms and the destination you call both matter.

Not automatically. Carrier Wi-Fi Calling uses Wi-Fi to connect to your carrier’s phone service, but billing still follows its rules. Some calls may be included, while others can attract international charges. Availability and treatment abroad also vary by provider.
AT&T Wi-Fi Calling and billingIs Talkala the same as my carrier’s Wi-Fi Calling feature?
No. Talkala is a separate browser calling service with its own prepaid balance and rates. Carrier Wi-Fi Calling remains part of your existing mobile service. Both may use a Wi-Fi connection, but they do not share the same billing rules.

Talkala browser calls are charged through Talkala rather than using your carrier’s voice-call allowance. If you connect through mobile data, that internet traffic can use your data allowance or incur data charges.

Talkala does not bill the call through your carrier’s voice-roaming tariff. However, the internet connection still matters: using roaming mobile data can incur charges. Wi-Fi or another suitable data connection may avoid that particular cost, but check its terms and Talkala’s local availability.

Check that the allowance covers your calling location, the destination and the number type. If it does and you have minutes remaining, your carrier may be the better choice for that call. Talkala remains an option for other numbers or a different calling workflow.
T-Mobile international callingCan Talkala work without internet?
No. Talkala needs a suitable internet connection and microphone access. A carrier voice call may work without Wi-Fi or mobile data when cellular voice coverage and your service allow it. The recipient of a normal phone-number call does not need internet with either option.
Talkala browser callingDo I need to change my SIM or cancel my mobile plan?
No. You can keep your mobile service and choose Talkala for particular calls. Talkala does not cancel your plan, transfer your carrier allowance or replace your full mobile service. It cannot make emergency calls.
Talkala terms and billingDoes the person I call need Talkala?
No. When you call a supported mobile or landline, the recipient answers through their normal phone service without a Talkala account or app.
